Lone Star Geyser Basin

Another of the lesser-known features of Lone Star Geyser Basin, this is "an assortment of small springs surrounded by meadow on the north side of the river" (T. S. Bryan, The Geysers of Yellowstone). Apart from the fact that these springs "infrequently" act as geysers, possibly reaching eruption heights of 2 to 3 feet, and the possibility that their activity is cyclic, little seems to be known about them. They are reachable via the same trail as is used to reach Lone Star Geyser itself (q.v.), and are a little further up-trail than their much larger neighbor.
